stamped concrete pool deck too hot

Q. We recently did stamped concrete for our pool deck and are finding it to be unbearably hot. Is there anything to treat this with so when you get out of the pool you don't get blisters on your feet????

A. If the color of the stamped concrete is a dark color it will absorb the heat from the sun and be hot to touch. There isn't anything you can do to change this unless you change the color to a lighter color like white or light gray.
The only other option would be to shade the areas where you walk the most with some type of awning or patio umbrella.
