small cracks in stained concrete floors

Q. I have stained concrete floors which have developed small cracks. Can I fix these without ruining my floors?

A. Small hairline cracks are a normal, natural progression of an aging concrete floor. If you try to patch the cracks, it usually makes them stand out even more.

Unless the cracks start to really open up and widen, (1/8 inch or more), it's best to just leave them.

If you try to patch the cracks, the stain you used on the concrete floor will not look the same when you try to stain the patching material.
