One of those challenges is pouring a basement floor when the house is already being built. Access is usually not very good and a decision has to be made whether you have to pump the concrete or pour it another way. When you pour the concrete some other way, it usually involves a chute, wheelbarrow, or a power buggy. For this concrete floor we decided to cut a hole in the floor and use our 16' chute and a lot of pulling with concrete kumalongs to get the concrete where we needed it. Finishing concrete in an enclosed space is also a challenge at times. When you use a space heater for heat and add a power trowel inside that area, you get air that's not really good for you to breathe. We usually will finish our concrete floors in the winter by hand using a mag float, steel trowel, and concrete skids. At least this way we don't get carbon monoxide poisoning and can finish the concrete without feeling sick.
