heating slab floors in homes
by Liz
(Richmond, Va)
Q. My house was built in 1950 on a slab. I would like to put some radiant mats under my bath room tile floors. I have wood flooring in my kitchen...What kind of heating mats do you think are best?
I have gas forced hot air from the ceiling and we freeze !
A. HeatTech makes an electric radiant heat floor mat that can be installed over a concrete slab and under tile or wood laminate. The radiant mat is bonded to the floor with thinset just like tile is.
